Hi Vince, I was on passage between Charleston and St. Maartin in late Feb with two friends who had never had any blue water experience. We had sailed 10 days and were within 60 miles of our final port when I noticed (at night of course) that the port navigation light had packed up. Since we were coming into a traffic area the lights were important. My crew was very impressed when I pulled out the Navi Safe light you sold me in Newport and had it on the rail set to port in less than 5 min. They will be calling you when they get back to the US for a Navi Light. I think that this is a required part of the kit for any sailboat. It doesn't matter the type of sailing one does the need for navigation lights is always there and it is the responsibility of the captain to meet that responsibility. I am sure you agree. Well I am off for a little more paradise. Best Jim Forbis, Captain S/V Belle |
